F1 - 2008 is here finallyyyyy

'Its not because of a woman, its because of eleven men'
And to top it off, F1 season kicks off on March 16th, at Melbourne, Australia. Can the 2008 season possibly be as close-fought and competitive as last year? Will anyone step up to challenge Ferrari and McLaren at the front of the field?

Kimi the iceman Raikkonen,to you my support i pledge.

:) That's my absolute fav ad, I had got it for A in 2003 when I was on campus and waited till the 2006 world cup to give it to him. Did I tell you his insti team jersey said Ronaldo instead of his name?

I can't wait for the new F1 season. You never know, Jensen Button may actually fulfill his potential. Fingers crossed.

Also, can you possibly think up a name gayer than 'ForceIndia'?

Yeah Mr Malya, way to bring India onto the world stage. Why not name it 'Good Team' or 'Fast Cars'?

@ Farcenal - whats in a name m'dear! anyway, its gonnnaa be a l-o-n-g time before we come into our own in F1. (considering our b*tt gets kicked in our national game hockey, F1 is a distant dream (FOR NOW)) but for right now, im with Kimi who finallyy got what he deserved last season!

Once a red , always a Ferrari! I am rooting for Kimi... though I wonder if Michael could just jump from the test arena to the ciruit for one race and let all of us watch the magic again!!! I miss him :(

Haha yeah remember the phenomenon Narayan Karthikeyan, that took the racing world by storm?

Sadly when it comes to sports, India are France of wars: they loose everything.

hey, to be fair... we're sortof coming into our own where cricket is concerned.hopefully that rubs off onto other sports as well.

Also, Mr. Mallya has enough foresight and money to make sure his team doesnt look like a bunch of losers... thats not HIS style for sure.

Can't argue there.

I just wish they would have consulted me before going ahead with the over-patriotic, 'Chak de India' type name.

Malya should invest in football too. Give the lads some decent pitches ffs. The world audience and demand for football is miles and miles ahead of any other sport and we've only got about 1/6 of the world :P
